Parties on a Budget!

Firstly, hello - and welcome to the Party Wizard Blog!

One of the questions people often ask us is, 'how can I have the party I want on a budget?'

The answer to this question is simple - careful themeing! One thing a lot of people don't seem to grasp, is that no matter what theme you're after - be it a children’s Dr Who party, or an adult poker theme night - you don't have to spend a huge amount of money to maintain a theme through out the various elements you wish to involve.

Here is an example of how you can theme a party on a budget!

On our website - http://www.partywizard.co.uk/ - we stock a large number of branded and un-branded products. For this example, let's say we are putting together a Disney Princess themed children’s party.

What a lot of people would do in this instance is simply purchase all of the branded plates, cups, invites, party bags etc. But there are cheaper alternatives that still fit in with the theme...

Rather than buying entirely branded products, you can instead compromise, mixing in the more affordable solid colour products.

I have put together a comparitable party supplies check list to display exactly what is mentioned above, and as you will see, savings can be made without compromising the quality of the party theme.

The scenario - A Disney Princess themed children’s party for 14 individuals:

• 2 x Pack of 8 Disney Princess cups - £3.98
• 1 x Pack of 20 Disney Princess party napkins - £2.49

• 2 x Pack of 10 Disney Princess party straws - £4.50
• 1 x Pack of assorted pink cutlery - £2.49

Grand Total: £42.37

Disney Princess Party List Essentials - Mixed

• 3 x Pack of 6 Disney Princess party invites - £7.47

• 1 x Pink paper cups - £2.15
• 1 x Pink napkins - £1.49

Total Saved: £4.83

So there you have it, a saving of £4.83 simply by altering some of the essentials - yet at the same time, the general theme is maintained so as not to affect the overall outcome. I decided to keep a few of the branded products so that the Disney Princess imagery was still present, and managed to save some hard earned cash in the process!
